2008 Champion Ridden Fell Pony

Littletree
Highwayman is the first stallion in the USA imported from the highly successful
Littletree Fell Pony Stud in Cumbria, England to gain his Fell Pony Society
stallion license. Littletree Highway encompasses athleticism, excellent
conformation, fantastic legs with over 8 inches of good flat bone, flowing
movement with great suspension and wonderful hock action. Littletree Highwayman,
is out of the highly regarded broodmare, Lunesdale Gypsy Rose, who has had a
very successful show career and continues to win in the ring.
Littletree Highwayman has the great grey stallion Lunesdale Mountain Mist as his grandsire, who has also had a successful show career. His credits include taking the Reserve Champion at the Royal Show in the UK in 1991, Reserve Youngstock Champion at the Fell Pony Society Stallion Show in 1992, a class winner at the 2002 Fell Pony Society Stallion Show and the 2004 Stallion Champion and Champion of the Year 2004 at the Austrian Pony Show. Lunesdale Mountain Mist now resides in the Checz Republic and an image of him can be seen on our "Gallery" page.
Imported
to the US in 2005, Littletree Highwayman will be among the very few grey Fell
Pony stallions currently in the United States. Grey Fell Ponies are born dark
and slowly become grey over several years as they mature. An excellent example
of a mature grey stallion is Highwayman's grandsire, Lunesdale Mountain Mist
pictured on our "Gallery"
page.
Littletree Highwayman was recently shown at the Kentucky Horse Park SANA Event (trained and ridden by Ann-Marie Lavallee, The Traveling Trainer - www.thetravelingtrainer.net) and took 1st in the Ridden Fell Stallions and Geldings 4 years and up, Champion in the overall Ridden Fells and, ultimately, Reserve Champion in the overall Ridden Supreme Pony Championship.
